We are looking for a Payroll Assistant to join our team in the Administrative & Accounting industry for a Multi-Franchise, Multi-Company office. As a Payroll Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work Monday to Friday, providing essential support to our payroll administrator. The key responsibilities of the Payroll Assistant are:

     

Assisting in the preparation and processing of payroll for employees    

     

Maintaining and updating employee records including tax and other relevant information      

      

Verifying accuracy of employee data and preparing reports on payroll activities

      

Responding to employee inquiries regarding their pay and taxes       


Calculating and processing payroll checks or electronic transfers of funds       

      

Recording, verifying, and reconciling Payroll-related information       

      

Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and regulations


Qualifications:


Minimum 2 years payroll and accounting experience.

Associates degree in accounting or related field.

Proficient in Excel and Quickbooks

HR experience a plus.


Apart from the educational and experience qualifications, the Payroll Assistant must possess specific key skills,

including:

     

Experience with Quickbooks       

      

Attention to detail to ensure accurate processing of payroll information  

      

Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously       


Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment       

     

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills       

    

Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive payroll information       


Proficient with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook


Dependable with attendance

Reliable transportion
