POSITION SUMMARY: The Carpentry and Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for Remodeling and Upkeep of both residential and Commerical Properties. This includes: Drywall repair, carpet removal, painting, framing, door installation, hardware installation, demolition, and whatever it takes to flip an existing residence or restaurant and make it like new again.

Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and penalties, State safety regulations, environmental policies responsible for the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials affecting facilities maintenance required. Applicants must be able to substantiate a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to our liability insurance carrier. Work nights, weekends and holidays as required. Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES: The employee must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as regularly reach above the shoulders; must be able to bend, squat, push, pull and lift up to and including 75 pounds without experiencing physical discomfort or pain. Must be able to work with various power tools following proper safety procedures. Possess manual/finger dexterity - be able to quickly move hand, arm, or two hands and to make precisely coordinated movements of the finger of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects. Possess multi-limb coordination while sitting, standing, set up, carry, climb and descend ladders. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion. Excellent eyesight - with or without vision correction - is mandatory. Must be able to travel occasionally.
