Requirements for applying for this role:
- Valid Illinois License, but Iowa or Wisconsin Masters encouraged to apply
- Four to five years of relevant electrical experience (or more!)
You will love coming to work every day if you:
- Have a thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code
- Can work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures
- Collaborate with peers and leadership to evaluate job requirements and costs
- Are capable of operating heavy machinery (telehandlers, trenchers, etc.)—training is provided
- Can complete Main Panel Tie-Ins and Meter Taps
- Can diagnose and troubleshoot electrical component and system issues
- Perform electrical work efficiently with minimal site visits
Success at Arrow Electric is driven by clear processes and the ability to:

- Lift 50-75 pounds
- Work cooperatively with a team to install PV products
- Lead safe work practices for the Field Operations team
- Deliver exceptional customer service by educating customers about the product(s) and providing real-time updates on job status
We train our team to help them succeed, and everyone contributes to our collective success. In this role, you will be expected to:
- Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems, including switches and circuit breakers
- Inspect electrical components, such as transformers, to ensure they are working properly and safely
- Identify electrical problems using testing devices and repairing or replace faulty equipment, wiring, or fixtures
- Plan the layout of wiring to comply with blueprints and safety requirements
- Communicate with customers to establish job details and related costs
- Ensure you have the necessary hand tools
- Conduct productive meetings
