The Back of House Shift Manager is responsible for leading team members to help provide fast and accurate service to guests, while maintaining food safety and quality standards.

This role is offered as a full-time position. You must have an open availability. This means the ability to work mornings, nights, weekends and holidays. Availability for Fridays Saturdays and holidays is required.

Applicants must be able to:

  • Successfully run shifts to ensure fast, accurate food is served to standard
  • Report for shifts on time
  • Operate with a sense of urgency
  • Motivate team members
  • Assist in training new hires, set the tone for the shift, and act as a role model for the team
  • Complete all computer based and hands on training
  • Exhibit mastery of all Back of House positions
  • Run Breaks and ensure smooth operations
  • Adapt to change and resolve problems without disrupting the business
  • Adhere to and enforce all restaurant policies
  • Adhere to and enforce food safety and quality standards
  • Adhere to and enforce restaurant food preparation standards
  • Assist with ensuring low food and labor costs
  • Ensure waste and shared table donations are recorded
  • Assist with managing inventory
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 years leadership or management experience
  • Experience in restaurant operations is preferred, but not required. Prior Chick-Fil-A experience is a plus.
  • ServSafe certification preferred but not required
  • Strong work ethic

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Detailed oriented and organized
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule
  • Have the ability to stand for at least 8 hours
  • Be able to perform functions which require bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing and stocking up to 40 lbs.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Reliable transportations to meet opening and closing shifts as needed
  • Available to work at least 40 hours a week
  • Be available to work on weekends and holidays
