The Azotea Cantina and Tacos & Tequila concepts are expanding and looking for great talent. We are committed to providing a memorable dining experience for our guests, and we're looking for a passionate Beverage Manager to join our team and enhance our beverage program.

Position Overview:

The Beverage Manager will oversee all aspects of our beverage operations, including the development and management of our drink menu, inventory control, staff training, and customer service. This role requires a creative and detail-oriented individual with a strong knowledge of beverages, particularly in the context of Mexican cuisine and culture.

Key Responsibilities:


Beverage Program Development:

  • Design and implement a diverse and exciting beverage menu that complements our Mexican cuisine.
  • Create signature cocktails, craft beer selections, and an extensive list of wines and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Stay current with industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas to keep the beverage program fresh and engaging.

Inventory Management:

  • Manage beverage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storage.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure proper rotation to minimize waste and prevent shortages.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and financial transactions.

Staff Training and Development:

  • Train and mentor bartenders and servers on beverage preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Ensure staff are knowledgeable about the beverage menu and can provide recommendations to guests.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.

Customer Service:

  • Foster a positive and engaging environment for guests by ensuring high standards of beverage service.
  • Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues related to beverage service promptly and professionally.
  • Build relationships with regular patrons and ensure their beverage preferences are recognized and catered to.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all beverage operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including alcohol laws and health and safety standards.
  • Implement and maintain cleanliness and safety protocols for the bar area.

Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage the beverage budget, including cost control and pricing strategies.
  • Analyze sales reports and financial data to make informed decisions about beverage offerings and pricing.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Beverage Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a Mexican or Latin American restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and spirits, with a focus on Mexican and Latin American drinks.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in inventory management and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
