Position Purpose:
The Customer Service Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, processing sales efficiently, and supporting the overall success of the store. This role involves assisting customers, maintaining store standards, and contributing to a positive and productive environment. The associate should adapt to the company’s needs while embracing Kabelin Hardware’s core values.

- Provide accurate and efficient service at the register, ensuring a convenient shopping experience.
- Execute daily operational goals and priorities as assigned by store management via Trello.
- Assist customers in locating products in-store, online at acehardware.com, or by processing special orders.
- Actively participate in daily huddle meetings to align on goals and expectations.
- Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards to ensure a safe and presentable environment.
- Support the team in receiving new shipments and maintaining an organized back stock area.
- Respond promptly to safety issues and report concerns to the management team.
- Maintain awareness of shoplifting activity and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Educate customers on the benefits of the Ace Rewards program and encourage participation.
- Answer phone calls and assist customers with inquiries.
- Actively participate in training and development opportunities for personal growth and peer support.
- Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements to better assist customers.
- Adapt to various roles and responsibilities based on the needs of the business.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Knowledge of retail computer systems and electronic cash registers is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store.
- Capability to perform all functions as outlined in the job description.
