Position Purpose:
The primary responsibilities of the Cashier position are to Create Loyal Customers by providing superior customer service, processing sales quickly, accurately, efficiently, and ensuring the customer has a convenient shopping experience. The person should fluidly adjust their daily role to fit the specific company needs and embrace the core values of Kabelin Hardware Company.
Key Accountabilities:
- Fully Embrace the Kabelin Core Values
- Ensure each customer receives outstanding service which follows the S.A.L.E.S process and by mystery shop standards
- Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management via Trello
- Always be working on your own development with guidance from your Management team
- Assist in the training and development of peers
- Actively participate in daily huddle meetings
- Guarantee all customers can process through the register in a timely and convenient manner
- Accurately and efficiently ring on registers and maintain all cash at registers
- Maintain orderly appearance of register area and supplies stocked
- Greet customers as they enter the store
- Answer phone calls and connect the customer with whom they need to speak with
- Issuing receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers
- Responsive to safety issues - identify them and inform the management team immediately
- Conscious of shoplifting activity
- Assist customers in finding the merchandise they need or create a rain check / special order
- Actively participate in the Ace Rewards program and share the benefits with our customers
- Answer customers’ questions and provide information on procedures and policies
- Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
- Maintain work areas that are safe and presentable
- Work a schedule that best suits the needs of our customers in an assigned role with a focus on productivity

Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience
- High School diploma or GED
Skills/Knowledge:
- A commitment to service, excellence, and customer satisfaction
- Ability to process information and/or merchandise through the register system
- Ability to communicate with associates and customers
- Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills with a strong willingness to learn
- Knowledge of retail computer systems, electronic cash registers
- Exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth
- Job responsibilities may change based on the needs of the business
