JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an ambitious and caring Back of House Director to join our team at Chick-fil-A. This “hands-on” management opportunity is designed to give you a career in the most highly-esteemed restaurant chain in the nation. The BOH Director is responsible for overseeing all operational activities associated with the kitchen areas of the restaurant. The BOH Director executes daily excellence across a full spectrum of operational activities at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels. The BOH Director primarily focuses on Food Safety, Quality and Prep, Truck Ordering and Inventory, Cleanliness, Food Cost and Profitability, and Preparing fresh great tasting food in a timely manner. The Director of the BOH sets the standard for “Operational Excellence” in the kitchen and leads by example while mentoring and developing the Kitchen Team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver operational excellence, working through all areas of BOH to ensure production of remarkable food quality
  • Manage team of 30+, continue to build high-performance team, identifying and coaching leaders for Back of House and holding team accountable to high standards.
  • Increase profitability through implementing procedures to reduce costs, increase productivity, and managing lean inventory systems.
  • Maintain a work environment that ensures and promotes food & team safety
  • Increase overall restaurant results, working cross-functionally with other department leaders through attending weekly meetings and setting high-level collaborative goals

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-5 years of Kitchen Management experience
  • Must have a strong understanding of kitchen operations
  • ServSafe Certified (preferred)
  • Open availability
  • Passion for Chick-fil-A's values
