Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure accurate and timely payment to employees.
- Maintain payroll records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Verify timesheets and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Other accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and payroll software (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
