Admissions Manager
Position Summary:
Manages all aspects of the resident admission process and experience ensuring a positive experience for all involved.
Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent required, Bachelors’ degree preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA, proven success protecting confidential information
- Passion and dedication to helping others and remaining professional in all situations
- Experience with admissions, skilled nursing or hospital setting preferred
- Outstanding communication (oral and written) skills – good on phones
- Works collaboratively and independently and following procedures
- Remains calm in stressful situations
Responsibilities:
- Develops systems and/or team members as needed to continually improve the experience of incoming patients/residents
- Prepares facility for new admissions by communicating with employees, confirming all insurance benefit coverages, obtaining authorizations, and securing any/all equipment
- Ensures all necessary information and/or paperwork is completed, communicated and entered into company systems as needed securing approvals or denials timely
- Conducts facility tours, educates potential clients/referral sources on facility benefits
- Ensures a kind, positive and professional experience with everyone in the workplace
- Working knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing care facilities and the department
