Admissions Manager

 

Position Summary:

Manages all aspects of the resident admission process and experience ensuring a positive experience for all involved.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent required, Bachelors’ degree preferred
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, proven success protecting confidential information
  • Passion and dedication to helping others and remaining professional in all situations
  • Experience with admissions, skilled nursing or hospital setting preferred
  • Outstanding communication (oral and written) skills – good on phones
  • Works collaboratively and independently and following procedures
  • Remains calm in stressful situations 

Responsibilities:

  • Develops systems and/or team members as needed to continually improve the experience of incoming patients/residents
  • Prepares facility for new admissions by communicating with employees, confirming all insurance benefit coverages, obtaining authorizations, and securing any/all equipment
  • Ensures all necessary information and/or paperwork is completed, communicated and entered into company systems as needed securing approvals or denials timely
  • Conducts facility tours, educates potential clients/referral sources on facility benefits
  • Ensures a kind, positive and professional experience with everyone in the workplace
  • Working knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing care facilities and the department
