Night Nursing Supervisor
Position Summary:
Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility
Qualifications:
- Current, California nursing license in good standing
- Current valid CPR certification required
- One year staff nurse and three years management experience in an acute care facility
- Nursing degree or graduation from accredited college or approved RN program
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an acceptable standard of nursing practice and professional decorum
- Be courteous, considerate and cooperative when communicating with all facility staff, residents and public
- Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations governing long term care nursing facilities
- Knowledge and implementation of the facility’s policies and procedures
- Direct and assist Licensed Nurses in clinical performances areas
- Perform function and responsibilities of a Charge Nurse as assigned
- Perform functions and responsibilities of Assistant Director of Nursing Services
- React appropriately to emergencies and disaster situations
- Complete accident/incident reports as necessary
- Notify Administrator and/ or Director of Nursing of any serious situation
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required
