Administrator (Executive Director)

Position Summary:

Directs the day-to-day operations of the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations governing nursing facilities, ensuring the highest level of quality care for residents and a safe, comfortable, supportive work environment for employees.

Qualifications:

· Current California NHA License

· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Healthcare Administration preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory compliance and continuing care retirement community operations including Title 22, CDPH, CAHF, etc.

· Outstanding interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills

· Ability to adapt communication style to that of others and deal kindly and professionally with patients, families, physicians, community resources and the public

· Supervisory success, leads by example with basic understanding of CA labor laws

· Servant leader, compassion for the elderly and sincere concern for the wellbeing of others

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the facility operates efficiently, is profitable, and maintains compliance with all standards and regulations for the business
  • Continually strives to improve the quality of care and patient experiences
  • Partners with clinical leaders to evaluate and adjust staffing requirements
  • Prepares and works to annual operational budget, allocating resources to carry out programs and adjusting based on monthly financial statements
  • Recruits, hires and trains department leaders supporting their recruiting, managing and employee personnel issues in accordance with company policies and employment laws
  • Creates safe, fun, supportive work environment where staff collaborate for success
  • Ensures all personnel, residents and visitors follow regulations, policies and procedures
