Qualified Medication Aide
Position Summary:
Coordinate resident care related to medications by working with all departments, the medical community, families and administrative staff and proved for residents needs within the scope of practice.
Qualifications:
- 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- valid Qualified Medication Aide Certificate
- CPR and First Aid certified.
- speak and write the English language
Responsibilities:
- Resident Charts – keeping documentation current
- Communicate resident status changes
- Ensure all medication documentation is current and accurate
- Shift to shift narcotic counts
- Ensure medication room is completely stocked with all required meds
- Coordinate medication orders and delivers with the pharmacies
- Maintains knowledge of and practices writing the guidelines of state specific Qualified Medication Aide scope of practice
