GA HOSPITALITY is looking for an experienced Sommelier in El Paso Texas.

Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Provide exceptional wine service by offering personalized recommendations tailored to customers' preferences. Ensure that each wine experience is memorable.

• Experience Creation: Design unique wine experiences that complement Anomalía’s gastronomic offerings, including creative pairings and innovative presentations.

• Staff Training: Train the team in wine service techniques, pairings, and enological knowledge to maintain a consistent and high-quality service level.

• Wine List Selection and Management: Collaborate in creating and maintaining a wine list that reflects Anomalía’s innovative concept, ensuring options that complement dishes and customer preferences.

• Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of wines and spirits, managing proper product rotation and minimizing waste.

• Cost Control: Implement strategies to optimize the purchase and management of wines, negotiate with suppliers, and control profit margins.

• Inventory Audits: Conduct periodic audits to ensure inventory accuracy and maximize operational efficiency.

• Restaurant Operations: Ensure compliance with restaurant operational standards, work closely with the General Manager, and assist in daily operations management.

• Administrative Management: Handle the processing of invoices and orders related to the wine area, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in administration.

• Table Wine Service: Actively participate in wine service at the tables, interacting with customers and providing direct recommendations during service.

Requirements:

• Professional sommelier certification.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in high-end dining environments.

• Deep and up-to-date knowledge of international wines, with the ability to identify emerging trends.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Experience in training staff in wine and pairing knowledge.

• Experience in operations management and knowledge of invoice and order administration.

• Ability to work in an innovative and dynamic environment.
