Job Type: Full-Time (Overnight Shifts)

Job Summary: The Overnight Inventory Manager at Chick-fil-A is responsible for overseeing all aspects of

inventory management during overnight hours. This includes organizing and maintaining

inventory levels, ensuring accurate and timely truck deliveries, and maintaining the overall

organization and cleanliness of the inventory areas. This role requires meticulous attention to

detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.


Key Responsibilities:


Inventory Organization and Management:

  • Organize & cut boxes, minimize stock, and consolidate prep areas within 30 minutes.
  • Ensure filet preparation (6 regular, 4 spicy, 2 grilled, 2 grilled nuggets) is completed
  • Unload trucks using FIFO method, organizing stock as you go, and unpacking items where feasible.
  • Pull chicken to put back first thing to avoid it being frozen (45 minutes).
  • Ensure breading table and thawing cabinets are full.

Truck Unloading and Stocking:

  • Receive truck deliveries, ensuring all items are correctly logged and stored.
  • Ensure truck drivers take all empty pallets and manage trash disposal and area cleanliness
  • Apply for credits for any missing items via the CFA home QIC form.
  • Coordination and Communication:
  • Coordinate with sister stores to borrow items if out of stock.
  • Ensure the store has sufficient lemons and water

Daily and Monthly Inventory Counts:

  • Perform daily inventory counts, with a comprehensive count every Wednesday.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance:
  • Ensure the release agent is stored separately from chemicals.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dumpster area and parking lot, including removing pallets, boxes, and trash.
  • Ensure all stock is managed on a FIFO basis.
  • Must wash all dishes that were used

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business or inventory management
  • is a plus.
  • Previous experience in inventory management, preferably in a food service or retail
  • environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and suppliers.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with inventory management.
