EXPECTATIONS OF AN ASSISTANT MANAGER
Purpose of job is to assist the manager in operating the store, training employees and executing all policies, procedures and programs.

- Has an excellent personal appearance. Never out of uniform.
- Always arrives for work on time.
- Treats other co-workers with respect and dignity.
- Trains and develops co-workers.
- Exercises loyalty to Management team.
- Takes responsibility to see that store runs right instead of waiting to be told.
- Is honest.
- Communicates with the Manager daily, doesn’t wait for the Manager to ask.
- Evaluates themselves as to where they are and where they need to be.
- Realizes their attitude sets the tone for all the other co-workers.
- Seeks out opportunities to learn and develop management skills.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Ensures all food and drinks served meets Sonics quality standards.
- Ensures drive-in’s service standards are consistently met.
- Manages food, paper, labor and other cost controls.
- Immediately resolves guest complaints or requests in a respectful manner. Informs manager of guest issues.
- Effectively directs crew in order to maintain service and quality.
- Takes appropriate action to maintain compliance with the employee handbook, store policies and to maintain an environment free of harassment, discrimination and inappropriate behavior.
- Immediately resolves employee concerns and complaints in a respectful manner. Informs the manager of complaints.
- Follows cash handling policies.
- Follows Sonics food safety program.
- Is Serve Safe Certified.
- Has passed the Red and Blue Assistant Manager Star Guides.
- Ensures a safe working environment.
- Complies with all state and federal laws.
- Maintains an “Employer of Choice” environment. So that people want to work for us and Parents want their teenagers working for us.
