Position: Diesel Service Advisor
Grove Truck, employee owned and operated is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Service Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will act as the primary point of contact for customers seeking Diesel repairs and services for their vehicles. This role requires a strong understanding of Heavy Duty repair and maintenance, as well as excellent communication and sales skills to effectively advise customers on necessary services.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of recommended services and repairs, including diagnostics, brake repair, oil changes, and general maintenance.
- Schedule appointments and manage service timelines to ensure timely completion of work.
- Handle payment transactions accurately and maintain records of customer interactions.
- Collaborate with technicians to communicate customer concerns and ensure quality service delivery.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Stay informed about the latest technologies and service offerings to provide knowledgeable recommendations.
Requires:
- Previous experience as a service writer for Light/Medium Duty Diesel Trucks.
- Strong knowledge of diesel repair processes
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Sales experience is a plus, with the ability to upsell services based on customer needs.
- A valid driver's license is required; familiarity with various vehicle makes and models is beneficial.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
