Compensation: Total compensation up to $120,000 with base, bonus, and profit sharing.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Efficiency: Guide the Shop Manager/Foreman to monitor and incrementally improve technician efficiency.
- Financial Performance: Lead the service writer team to maximize profitability through effective upselling, accurate estimates, and resource allocation.
- Customer Experience: Maintain a customer-focused approach by addressing concerns, ensuring timely service, and handling reviews on platforms like Yelp and Google.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and quality control.
- Performance Tracking: Prepare regular reports on shop performance, key metrics, and financial results.
- Safety & Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Employee Development: Foster a positive work environment with coaching opportunities to support staff growth.
- Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Industry Experience: Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar role in an auto repair shop, with 10+ years in the automotive industry.
- Leadership Skills: Strong managerial abilities to inspire and lead a team effectively.
- Technical Expertise: Solid knowledge of automotive systems, repair techniques, and industry standards.
- Operational Efficiency: Proficiency in Digital Visual Inspections (DVI) and streamlined procedures.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial management, budgeting, and performance tracking.
- Customer Service: Experience resolving customer concerns, handling reviews, and enhancing loyalty.
- Time Management: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
