UMV - Customer Service Representative I, II or III

A strong candidate will have prior experience in DMV processing, as a teller, in loan origination, or providing administrative support at a car dealership.

 Minimum Qualifications & Physical Requirements: 

• At least 18 years of age 
• Valid Alaska driver's license or ID 
• Able to type 40 WPM and use 10-key for data entry 
• Capable of standing for long periods and lifting 50 lbs. regularly 
• High school diploma or equivalent 

Hours: 

• Full-time (40-hour week) with potential for overtime 
• Office hours: Monday-Saturday, 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM 
• Shifts: 8 hours plus a lunch break 

Compensation: 

• Customer Service Agent I - $41,600 - $52,478 per year 
• Customer Service Agent II - $43,680 - $54,995 per year 
• Customer Service Agent III - $45,760 - $58,157 per year 
• Audit accuracy bonuses, incentive bonuses, commission on additional services 
• Potential performance bonuses twice per year 

Customer Service Agent I -  Minimum of 2 year of employment experience that includes use of computers and computer databases, working directly with clients or customers and using a point of sale system.  Examples include, bank teller, loan officer, car dealership administrative support etc.  

Customer Service Agent II – In addition to CSA I requirements, minimum of 6 months experience efficiently and accurately processing DMV related transactions to include vehicle registrations, titles, IDs and driver’s licenses.  Experience could have been gained through work at an Alaska DMV or Alaska DMV business partner.  

Customer Service Agent III – In addition to CSA I and II requirements, minimum 6 months experience accurately processing and issuing Commercial Drivers Licenses, completing business bank deposits, opening and closing a business and assisting with training other employees. Experience could have been gained through work at an Alaska DMV or Alaska DMV business partner.  

Starting base pay will be determined on candidate’s experience, qualifications and state wage requirements and will fall within the ranges listed above. New hire base pay generally falls within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
