Job Description:
The customer service professional provides quick, efficient, and friendly customer service to ensure our customers’ needs are met. The CS employee will have knowledge of employee ownership and build an inclusive and collaborative environment with the employee owners.
Primary role and responsibilities:
- Fulfill retail and wholesale orders, and other needs.
- Maintain the retail meat case so as to entice customers to buy as much as possible.
- When working with customers:
o Smile and greets customers in a friendly manner when they enter the store or engage with them on the sales floor.
o Take retail orders by phone.
o Provide quick, efficient, and friendly customer service both in person and on the phone.
o Make an effort to learn customers’ names and to address them by name whenever possible.
o Handle and satisfy customer issues.
- Maintain a positive attitude; creates an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.
- Communicate with manager regarding sales and ideas.
- Uphold HACCP standards and checks.
- Track the flow of inventory through the shop, including which incoming meat is cut to serve their needs.
- Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
- Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.
- Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
- Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.
- Must be physically able to exert up to 100 pounds of force (shared team lifting) occasionally; exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently; and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
