Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Bakery Manager to oversee our daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, with a deep understanding of bills of material, product costing, and labor scheduling. This role is crucial to ensuring our production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Daily Operations: Oversee the daily production of doughnuts, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of production staff, providing training, support, and performance evaluations.
  • Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules to meet daily and seasonal demands.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all products meet our quality standards and comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Bills of Material: Maintain accurate bills of material for all products, ensuring proper inventory management.
  • Labor Scheduling: Create and manage labor schedules to optimize productivity and meet production needs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of bills of material, product costing, and labor scheduling. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a food production environment.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
