Drum and Quill is a historic southern pub located in the heart of Pinehurst NC. Featuring a wide range of spirits and artisan food, the Drum and Quill is one of the premier restaurant's available for both tourism and local patrons seeking a unique and down to earth culinary experience. Headed by our Executive Chef with over 20 years of fine dining and corporate experience, the Drum and Quill offers both a rewarding and unique working experience with room for growth.
We are currently hiring Line cooks for all positions. Expectations are a wokring knowledge of culinary basic skills. Basic sanitation and food saftey understanding. Able to execute and complete tasks in a timely manner under the direction of Executive Chef/Sous Chef. Proper respect and team work related attitude. Pay rate is $13.00 - $20.00 based on experience. Employment reviews conducted at 30 days, 90 days, and every 6 months following.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positions.
- Experience with hot and cold food preparation.
- Working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and health codes.
- Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.
- Able to handle work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to lift 25 Lbs
- Reliable transportation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes.
- Steam, grill, boil, bake or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Check food and ingredients for freshness.
- Arrange and garnish dishes.
- Work well under pressure and within the time limit.
- Ensure that kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned.
- Prepare all dishes to specifications of Executive Chef.
