At Chick-fil-A, Assistant Directors are responsible for working directly with their immediate Director(s) and Owner/Operator to help achieve all restaurant goals. They are responsible for understanding and reviewing business metrics in order to create goals and actions items that will help grow the business. An Assistant Director is also responsible for leading and coaching the back of house and front of house team leaders to ensure the success of daily restaurant operations.

- Getting to know all team members
- Knowing the team member roster
- Strategizing along with other leaders the team member set up/game plan
- Helping identify and train upcoming leaders
- Recognizing team members on their performance
- Understanding and enforcing Child Labor Laws
- Understanding and enforcing Chick-fil-A Portland's policy handbook
- Understanding and enforcing our Health Policy
- Documenting and enforcing disciplinary notices to ensure team member and leadership accountability and performance
QUALITY AND CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
- Leading with the Winning Hearts Every Day strategy
- Implementing systems to ensure a food safe environment
- Implementing systems to ensure quality standards are met
- Responsible for ensuring Daily Safe, and eRQA are completed and corrective actions are in progress
- Building a healthy relationship with health department and any third party auditors
- Recovering guest as needed
SALES AND BRAND GROWTH
- Understanding sales and brand growth annual goals
- Driving daily sales goal and strategizing ways to continue to achieve sales growth
- Driving sales through check average and transactions
FINANCIAL RETURN
- Directly responsible for tracking and minimizing waste
- Responsible for reaching Food Cost goals
- Responsible for reaching Labor/Productivity goals
- Responsible for ensuring daily count of inventory is completed
- Responsible for counting end of month inventory
- Responsible for helping reach profit goals
