Vitale's is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented phone order specialist to handle customer orders over the phone. As the first point of contact for our customers, you'll play a key role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience, from placing an order to pickup or delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally
- Take accurate customer orders for pickup and delivery
- Assist customers with menu questions, recommendations, and special requests
- Input orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure special instructions are followed
- Help manage high-volume calls during peak hours
- Maintain a positive, courteous demeanor at all times
Requirements:
- String communication and listening skills
- Ability to stay calm and organized under pressure
- Attention to detail for accurate order-taking
- Basic computer skills and comfort with POS systems (training provided)
- Prior customer service experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
