MyCHN is a nonprofit organization providing Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, and Pharmacy services to communities in the South Houston and Gulf Coast area. We were founded in 2008 with one provider, three exam rooms and a big dream. Today, we have over 100 providers and more than 15 locations. Job Summary:
The Behavioral Health Access Coordinator will play a pivotal role in optimizing the scheduling processes for our behavioral health services. The primary focus will be to ensure efficient, same-day or next-day access to care by implementing and managing dynamic scheduling strategies. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills and a strong understanding of behavioral health services and scheduling dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to maximize the availability of behavioral health appointments, ensuring same-day or next-day access for patients.
- Dynamic Scheduling: Utilize dynamic scheduling tools and methodologies to adjust and fill appointment slots based on patient needs and provider availability.
- Coordination and Communication: Work closely with the communication department and patients to facilitate timely appointment scheduling and rescheduling.
- Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze scheduling data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement in appointment availability and access.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the scheduling system.
- Patient Support: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing scheduling inquiries, resolving conflicts, and ensuring a smooth scheduling experience.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on scheduling metrics, access rates, and any issues encountered to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

- Understanding of behavioral health services and best practices in scheduling and access.

- Bilingual ability in Spanish
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Clerical or front office experience in a medical or dental facility
