I m looking for an excited and passionate individual to join my team at Waterbar. 2-3 years experience in fine dining preferred. This role is intended to be a stepping stone to be promoted as a sous chef for the right person. This job is definitely for someone looking for the next big challenge on their way to running their own pastry kitchen. After nearly 20 years in professional kitchens, I love mentoring and growing people, so I'm ready to invest my time into helping you develop into the best pastry chef, leader, and mentor you can be. It is not to be taken lightly that we are a very busy business. We do fine dining at the highest standards and we do a lot of it. Between lunch service, dinner service, and private dining, our numbers average 14 million annually. Our pastry team is small but mighty. You have to have passion, drive, and grit to enjoy the job.
Skills I'm looking for in a candidate:
Multi-tasking
Organizational skills
The ability to transition quickly from one task to another without losing focus
Exemplary communication skills and emotional intelligence
Having a passion for teaching, training, and explaining tasks with compassion and patience
Attention to detail
The ability to manage well under high pressure situations
Knowing how to bake, of course!
Bonus Points if you are familiar with Excel Spreadsheets
Benefits are fantastic: great health, medical, and dental
Also includes 401k, PTO, sick time, and cash tips
Starting pay $20-24/hour depending on experience
Let me know if you are interested and have questions!
Thanks!
