Job Summary:
Chick-fil-A is seeking a dedicated and experienced Back of House Director to join our team. As the Back of House Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen and food preparation operations to ensure the highest quality of food and service. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Kitchen Operations Management:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the back of house operations, including food preparation, cooking, and assembly.
- Ensure adherence to Chick-fil-A's food quality and safety standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and motivation to maintain high performance levels.
2. Inventory and Supply Chain:
- Manage inventory levels and ordering of kitchen supplies and product.
- Monitor and control food costs to maximize profitability while maintaining quality.
3. Operational Excellence and Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with the management team to drive operational excellence
- Maintain food quality and consistency through regular quality checks and inspections.
4. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and cleanliness.
- Conduct regular equipment maintenance and repair assessments.
5. Team Development:
- Recruit, train, and develop back of house staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Foster teamwork and strong communication among back of house team members.
6. Administrative Tasks:
- Keep records of inventory, expenses, and kitchen performance metrics.
- Prepare and submit reports as required by management.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years previous leadership experience required
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
