Operations Specialist

Reports to: Director of Operations

 

Seeking an operations-driven leader with depth of experience in operations management. The Ops Specialist will play a critical role in building Rackson’s operational capabilities by working hands-on in the restaurants, driving operational projects, training and administrative support, and supporting the adoption of business processes. As a subject matter expert in operations best practices, the Ops Specialist ensures that operations leaders understand and utilize the tools and systems they need to drive sales, ensure employee and guest satisfaction, and improve operational efficiency.

 

What You’ll Do: In this role, you will support operations by rolling your sleeves up to train operations leaders and help them execute processes and procedures to make the People successful, the Process efficient, and the Profit beneficial to all. Essential functions:

  • Provides training and administrative support to operations leaders, supporting compliance with standards in quality, service, cost controls, product safety, security, cleanliness, product preparation, employee relations and administration.      
  • Validates market compliance with Rackson initiatives through auditing and training operations team, following company’s processes to protect business interests.       
  • Reviews and diagnoses business health using available metrics, reports, observations, and tools. Identifies potential/present performance gaps and root source of variance in business operations, and partners with operations leaders to effectively implement solutions. Responsible for coaching and training operations management on same.      
  • Reviews and helps complete administrative tasks including but not limited to: employment paperwork (new hire, terminations, leaves of absence, injury, etc.), scheduling, reporting, ensures proper execution of various audit, inventory and ordering processes.     
  • Supports investigations to resolve guest complaints, taking corrective actions to recover guests while coaching the market team. Performs other related activities in accordance with policies and procedures as deemed necessary on a market basis. 
  • Directs and supports Market leaders in delivering BKC’s (Burger King Corporate) and Rackson’s standards by both ensuring current systems and processes are being executed with integrity and leading adoption of new initiatives.      
  • Works hands-on in the restaurant to support important milestones and events, including hiring events, remodels, and new restaurant openings.      
  • Utilizes a blended approach of training, analytics, field observations, and team member Feeback to support Rackson achieving "A" operator status.
  • Performs other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required, assigned, and directed. 

What Will Make You Successful:

  • 5 - 7 years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager required.      
  • Passion for streamlining processes and creating efficiencies. 
  • Ability to dissect a performance problem, identify the root cause, and implement a solution.      
  • Strong partnership and influencing skills, including the ability to work at and across all levels in the organization.     
  • Strong work ethic that includes punctuality, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills, and desire to grow career within the organization.       
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to communicate clearly and directly. Bilingual Spanish preferred.     
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, inventory management systems, scheduling software, POS systems, etc.       

Physical Requirements – Ability to move freely throughout restaurants; Ability to communicate via phone including hearing and talking. Ability to perform sedentary work such as computer-based work. Ability to utilize close visual acuity such as for creating and analyzing data/spreadsheets, word documents, and graphic designs.     

Travel - ability to drive a motor vehicle and travel to restaurants and other business locations up to approximately 90% of the time.
