Shift Lead Responsibilities:

  • Learn all aspects of Chick-fil-A culture & be professional in every aspect of performance
  • Plan & lead shifts and hold team accountable for food safety & quality standards
  • Assist in training of new hires, set the tone for a shift, and act as a role model for our team
  • Pace the team to high levels of performance by understanding the importance of speed of service, accuracy, and resolution of bottlenecks in kitchen workflow
  • Ensure the restaurant and food prep areas are properly cleaned, organized, and safety standards are consistently upheld
  • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with leadership and team members
  • Respond to changes and edits to orders quickly & efficiently
  • Oversee guest experiences in the Drive Thru, Dining Room, and Front Counter
  • Plan & lead shifts, assist with training, pacing, and coaching team members
  • Own open, mid, or closing routines for the current and next shifts
  • Cash Management
  • Calmly address guest concerns & embrace Chick-fil-A Guest Recovery standards

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • At least 16 years of age upon hire date
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Exhibit a passion for excellent & growth
  • Address Team Member behavioral and performance issues
  • Maintain cooperative approach to other team members, guests, and all restaurant leadership
  • Model excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Prior experience as a shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, restaurant manager, or restaurant assistant manager is not required but is preferred
