The responsibility of a banquet server is to deliver welcoming service to create an outstanding experience. As a banquet server, the main duty is to be attentive, professional, and most importantly always be in communication with the lead banquet server. They must perform a variety of tasks, which includes, food handling, keeping glasses filled, polishing and event coordination. They are also responsible for the set-up and breakdown of events. If needed, banquet servers will arrange table placement for a buffet and set-up and break down the dance floor.
Requirements:
- Must have excellent customer service, patience, and politeness.
- Able to communicate in a professional and adequate manner.
- Able to speak and understand English.
- Team player- Being a team player is necessary.
- Basic knowledge of food presentation, preparation, and handling
- Able to carry heavy trays (20-25lbs. at least)
- Able to work in a fast and professional manner.
- Prior experience as a restaurant server, waiter, waitress, wait staff, host, runner or another front of the house highly desirable.
