We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Mathnasium team as a Math Learning Center Assistant! If you love math, enjoy working with students, and want to make learning fun, this role is for you.
The ideal candidate will not only provide exceptional math instruction but also help foster a vibrant learning environment by engaging students through in-center events, school outreach, and collaborate on social media creation. Check out our social channels. This includes announcing our monthly raffle winners, helping with game nights, and actively supporting our center’s community.

Key Responsibilities
- Student Management: manage students during their time in the center.
- Deliver Instruction: Instruct students in-center, online, and in hybrid formats using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices.
- Assess Student Progress: Conduct assessments to track student learning and engagement.
- Event Participation: Help plan and lead engaging math-related events, including game nights and community outreach at schools.
- Social Media Engagement: Help create fun, informative Instagram videos for Mathnasium, including announcing raffle winners.
- Digital Proficiency: Use a stylus and tablet for instruction and navigate digital learning tools effectively.
- Collaboration: Work as part of a team to provide individualized instruction and contribute to a positive learning environment.
- Career Growth: With strong performance, grow into roles such as Lead Instructor and Assistant Director.
Qualifications
- Math Enthusiast: Strong knowledge of math up to Algebra.
- Availability: Must be available at least two days a week, with additional opportunities in the summer.
- Event & Social Engagement: Willingness to participate in center events, and school outreach.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage tasks effectively and help keep the center running smoothly.
- Eagerness to Learn: Open to training and professional growth in both instruction and center operations.
- Compliance: Must pass a math literacy test, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.

Interview Process
- Initial 15 minutes phone interview
- Trial math instruction session for 60 minutes plus 30 minutes of prep time
- Math Test from basics up to Algebra
- Official in-person interview for one hour.
Mathnasium locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees of Mathnasium Center Licensing, LLC ("Mathnasium"). Franchisees are independent business people and not employed by Mathnasium. Thus, each franchisee and each franchisee center is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their center. If you are hired to work at a center, the franchisee will be your employer, not Mathnasium.
