Manager Job description

Houlihan’s Restaurant + Bar is seeking a Manager to perform the following duties and has the following qualities and qualifications:

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):


  • Manage logistical aspects of front of house operations; communicates, motivates and drives performance of staff. Supervise staff, including developing weekly schedules, and coaching to Four-Diamond standards.
  • Execute and oversee local store marketing efforts for the restaurant
  • Proactively identify staffing needs, recruit and select quality employees
  • Ensure that all training programs are being administered properly, oversees implementation, utilizing Houlihan’s corporate resources
  • Ensure BOH resources, systems and tools are being used appropriately, adhere to all standards
  • Ensures a sales mentality throughout the restaurant and implements new initiatives/menu items/specials, tracks and reports results and success
  • Ensure excellent quality and presentation of food
  • Monitor ticket times & cook’s line movement; evaluate systems for optimal execution
  • Anticipate guest problems and issues; take necessary action to resolve conflicts
  • Monitor labor, food, and liquor cost. Proactively find ways to reduce restaurant spend
  • Demonstrate a passion for and working knowledge of food, liquor, beer and wine
  • Insistent upon delivering outstanding guest experiences
  • Assist in training and display hands on approach in leadership in all the areas of the facility
  • Update job knowledge by participating in and directing educational and training opportunities
  • Take disciplinary action in conjunction with the President/GM and HR when necessary
  • Assist in other departments as necessary

and is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks.

Salary: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00
