Responsibilities:
- Prepares, cooks, assembles, and presents food safely, quickly and efficiently, meeting Chick-fil-A standards for food quality, safety and presentation.
- Be knowledgeable of the assignments for all kitchen stations, including fries, breading, assembling, boards, and food prep
- Stocks and organizes kitchen inventory as needed, ensuring proper rotation and monitoring expiration dates.
- Maintains a neat, clean, and organized kitchen at all times, following all sanitation and food safety protocols.
- Works safely with kitchen equipment, reporting any maintenance needs or malfunctions to the Director or Team Leaders.
- Collaborates effectively with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation, while being adaptable to various shifts and responsibilities.
- Keeps up-to-date on new menu items, attends all in-house training, and any operational changes, adhering to all Chick-fil-A rules and the dress code at all times.
- Stores inventory supplies in the respective areas. This involves carrying loads of 25+lbs on a daily basis.
- Completes all opening or closing procedures as assigned, ensuring the kitchen is prepared for the next shift.
- Honors and encourages others to follow and fulfill the purpose and values of the Chick-fil-A Atlantic Avenue.
- Fulfills any other other suitable duties as assigned by the Leaders or Director.
Skills and Requirements:
- No prior experience working in the food service industry is required.
- Have the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Have the ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule.
- Safety Conscious - works safely around kitchen equipment and follow all health and safety regulations.
- Communication Skills - ability to communicate clearly, enthusiastically and effectively with team members and guests.
- Adaptability - ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations with a positive attitude.
