Job Responsibilities:
As an Upholsterer at The Restoration Station, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Upholstery Work:
- Perform upholstery work on a variety of furniture pieces, including chairs, sofas, and custom-made cabinetry.
- Fabric Selection and Cutting:
- Select appropriate fabrics based on design specifications and customer preferences.
- Cut and shape fabrics to fit furniture pieces accurately.
- Foam Padding and Springs:
- Install and shape foam padding to achieve desired comfort and appearance.
- Work with springs and other support structures to ensure durability and longevity.
- Repair and Restoration:
- Assess and repair damaged upholstery on existing furniture pieces.
- Restore antique or vintage furniture to its original or improved condition.
- Collaboration with Design Team:
- Work closely with our design team to understand client requirements and design concepts.
- Provide input on fabric choices, color schemes, and finishing details.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience as an Upholsterer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of upholstery projects.
- Proficiency in working with various fabrics, materials, and tools related to upholstery.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
