Position Title: To Go Specialist
Kobe Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse is looking for a highly skilled To Go Specialist to join our service team. We are searching for friendly, energetic, highly motivated individuals who will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant environment.
As a To-Go Specialist, you will greet guests warmly, accurately pack orders, and provide friendly, efficient service to ensure every guest enjoys a great takeout experience. The position requires a friendly, professional demeanor, and the ability to handle To-Go and catering orders efficiently while maintaining accuracy and a positive guest experience.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Prepare to-go and catering orders and package them correctly.
- Set up and maintain To Go steam tables
- Prepare soup, salad, Kobe sauces for orders and restock to-go items.
- Knowledge of food and beverage by understanding menu items, ingredients, and pairings, including dietary restrictions and allergens.
- Monitor tablets for any Toast, UberEats, and/or Doordash orders.
- Monitor and answer incoming phone calls for To-Go orders.
- Handle pick up orders, including curbside pick up.
- Keep the to-go prep area clean and well organized.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrate integrity, respect, hard work, teamwork and a positive attitude values
- Experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Must have excellent communication and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays preferred.
- Must be able to continuously walk and stand for an extended period of time
- Must maintain good hygiene and a professional appearance
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Ensure compliance with food handling regulations and company standards
- Follow all Responsible Vendor training guidelines to promote safe and legal alcohol service
- Must be 18 years of age
