We are a fast-paced outpatient psychiatric clinic, that is expanding with a more innovative approach. We are currently looking for a dependable person to take over this very important role. This position requires communication with patients to check them into all in-office and virtual appointments, receive all copays for appointments, send out/obtain medical records, as well as other assistance in the office, which may include some back-office work. One year of healthcare experience is preferred. Strong organizational skills and having the ability to multitask is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors as they arrive in the office
- Perform patient check-in and check-out procedures
- Answer phones and forward calls to appropriate extensions
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Verify insurance and collect payments
- Maintain office inventory
- Ensure office and treatment rooms are tidy and presentable
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Accurately input patient data with high attention to detail
- Collaborate with other staff members
- Maintain all records in accordance with HIPAA requirements as well as internal confidentiality requirements
- Room patients and take their vitals
- Other job duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-year proven work experience as a Medical Receptionist (required)
- Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Compassionate and professional attitude and appearance
- Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Demonstrated experience delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Operates with the highest level of ethics, integrity, and confidentiality, and a desire to provide the best possible patient experience
