Seattle Maintenance Services - Immediate Custodial Team Lead Position

ob Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodial Team Lead to oversee and support our custodial team in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to ensuring high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily custodial operations for the assigned shift.
• Lead a team of custodians, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
• Inspect work areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with company standards.
• Assign tasks and manage schedules to ensure all cleaning duties are completed efficiently.
• Operate and oversee the use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Address and resolve any maintenance or cleanliness issues promptly.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and report needs to management.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent, as well as additional certifications in custodial management, are a plus.
• Previous experience in custodial work, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment, supplies, and safety protocols.
• Physical ability to lift and carry objects up to [40 lbs], stand or walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible to work night/evening shifts and occasional weekends or holidays as needed.
