Job Overview:
The Dining
Room Manger role is to oversee the daily and long term objective of the
extensive Food & Beverage Department. Dining Room Managers key role of the Food
& Beverage leadership team is to drive the team culture and uphold the
Crowne Plaza and IHG Standards and Vision. By doing this it will create an
engaging place to work, excel in customer satisfaction, and reach all goals
expected for the leadership role. The Dining Room Manager must demonstrate excellent
leadership at all time, be positive outgoing, clear and direct communication and
team building skills with all associates, peers, and all management within
Crowne Plaza. The Dining Room Manager is responsible for ensuring that guest
experiences at Salt + Marrow Kitchen are top tier and are IHG and Crowne Plaza Standards.
This position reports directly to the Director of Food & Beverage
Responsibilities

Supervise
the daily operations on the restaurant to ensure compliance with Standard
Operational Procedures, IGH Merlin Compliance, Tips Training, safety and
cleaning regulations and procedures and to ensure an optimal level of service,
quality, hospitality.

Make
sure that all guest has an exceptional dining experience. In order for this to
happen the Dining Room Manager must be present in the dining room at all time.
The Dining Room Manager must circulate the room and talk to each table to
ensure that all needs are meet.

The
Dining Room Manager responsibility is to ensure that the shift is set up for
success: The Dining Room manager should have a checklist of responsibilities
that need to be completed before opening. (refer to SOP) and a checklist of
responsibilities for each closing shift.

The
Dining Room Manager should always have a pre-shift 15 minutes before the shift
start. In this pre-shift such topics as guest count, server sections, anything
that may be out from Kitchen or Bar, and all events that are happening in the
hotel, and special guest that are in total, and scores
·
Maintaining
positive customer relationships, processing complaints, and responding to
customer needs
·
Assist
with Marketing Events and Specials to raise revenue
·
Creating
and enforcing restaurant policies, targets, and goals
·
Training
and managing food and beverage staff
·
Assist
with hiring with the Director of Food & Beverage
·
Able
to work flexible shifts that may consist or mornings, afternoons, evenings, and
holidays. As Dining Room Manager this position is expected to work 5 days a
week 35 – 40 hours a week.

Monitor
and control F&B Budget (i.e. labor cost, beverage cost, all supplies, and
equipment) and coordinate with Food & Beverage Director to maximize revenue
and expenses while providing quality service. Any purchases need for the
restaurant must be placed by the Food & Beverage Director

Implementing
company programs such as employee recognition and resolving daily operational
problems through consistent monitoring of the FOH staff. Ensuring all are
following compliance with safety and security regulation, SOP’s and to ensure
the optimum level of service, quality, and hospitality

Must
obtain ServSafe, TIPS Certification, IHG Merlin Compliance for Crowne Plaza
Employee, and all IHG Merlin Supervisor/ Dining Room Manager trainings and
standards
Qualifications
Experience
·
Two
to three years in the related position with the company or other organization
·
Strong
working knowledge of related computer software, including restaurant management
software
·
Excellent
customer service skills
·
Great
delegation skills
Knowledge/Skills
·
Advance
knowledge of the principles and practices within the restaurant and food &
beverage
·
Exceptional
knowledge of management of people, complex problems, efficient restaurant and
guest skills
·
Excellent
vision necessary. Excellent speech and communication skills required for verbal
interaction with the guest and associates
