Job Description:

As a Dishwasher at Root Cellar Catering Co., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other utensils used in food and beverage service. Your attention to detail and dedication to cleanliness will directly contribute to the overall success of our catering events.


Responsibilities:

Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen items.

Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in designated storage areas.

Assist with general kitchen cleaning tasks, including sweeping and mopping floors, emptying trash bins, and wiping down surfaces.

Follow proper sanitation procedures and health code regulations at all times.

Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.

Report any maintenance or repair issues with kitchen equipment to the appropriate supervisor.

Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall operation of the catering business.


Requirements:

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen setting.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).

Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as assigned.

Food handler's permit or willingness to obtain one upon hire.
