Brown Iron Brewhouse is a community house where great American beer is celebrated with outstanding smokehouse cuisine. As a beer-centric smokehouse, we specialize in draft beer from American craft breweries and offer a large selection of beers, including drafts you may not find anywhere else. In addition, we brew our own craft beers in-house, using only the finest ingredients to create exceptional brews.


Joining our team as an Experienced Line Cook, you will have the opportunity to work with a highly skilled and motivated kitchen staff, preparing a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking. You will be responsible for maintaining the quality and consistency of our dishes, following our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and quality standards. With our focus on smokehouse cuisine, you will have the chance to showcase your skills in preparing delicious smoked meats, such as pulled pork, brisket, and "beer-can" chicken.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of products served
  • Follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station
  • Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods
  • Attend scheduled employee meetings and contribute with suggestions for improvement


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
  • At least 6 months of experience in a similar capacity
  • Clear communication skills with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
