Brown Iron Brewhouse is a community house where great American beer is celebrated with outstanding smokehouse cuisine. We are a beer-centric smokehouse, named "Best Beer Bar" in Michigan for multiple years. Our inviting beer hall and spacious beer garden create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Serve patrons with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner
• Provide information to help with food and beverage selections
• Present ordered choices promptly and efficiently
• Maintain a lively dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude
• Prepare dining area by cleaning and setting up condiments
• Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to ensure the safety of patrons and the establishment
• Assist patrons in selecting food and beverages by suggesting appropriate pairings and answering questions
• Transmit orders to the bar and kitchen by accurately recording patrons' choices and special requests
• Deliver orders from the bar and kitchen to patrons, including accompaniments and condiments
• Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring about needs and observing the dining process
• Maintain table setting by removing completed courses, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and addressing any spills or special needs
• Conclude the dining experience by acknowledging the choice of restaurant and inviting patrons to return
• Obtain revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons
• Start each shift with opening side-work and necessary stocking
• Assist the team with running side work throughout the shift, including filling ice, stocking plates, rolling silverware, filling sauces, putting away glassware, restocking napkins, running food, etc.
• Complete end-of-night side work assigned by the station/section, ensuring tips are entered correctly and the closer's signature is on the sales report

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent and must be at least 21 years or older
• Hospitality or restaurant experience with a keen interest and knowledge of food service
• Excellent verbal and customer service skills, famous for your hospitality
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, team members, and guests
• Strong conflict resolution and teamwork skills
• Cicerone Certified Beer Server certification
