Position Overview:

We are excited to announce the opening of Front Desk Lead positions at YGF Malatang Milpitas, the Bay Area's premier destination for authentic Chinese Malatang cuisine. As a Front Desk Lead, you will be the face of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while managing front desk operations efficiently.

We are looking for dynamic individuals who are fluent in both English and Mandarin, possess a passion for excellent customer service, and have at least two years of front desk management experience. If you are outgoing, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers, delivering warm and professional service.
• Oversee daily front desk operations, including greeting customers, managing waitlists, and handling reservations.
• Train and supervise front desk staff to ensure excellent performance and adherence to company standards.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints efficiently and professionally.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth communication and operations.
• Monitor cleanliness and organization of the front desk area to maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
• Handle POS transactions and ensure cash handling procedures are followed accurately.
• Assist in scheduling shifts for front desk staff and manage time-off requests.

Qualifications:

• Fluency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in front desk operations or customer service management, preferably in the food and beverage or hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer skills.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation:

• Starting hourly rate: $18/hour (negotiable based on experience).
