Key Responsibilities of the Banquets Department:
1. Event Planning & Coordination
- Work closely with clients, event planners, and other hotel departments to understand event requirements.
- Coordinate event logistics, including menu selection, room setup, décor, AV needs, and special requests.
- Ensure all banquet functions adhere to company standards and guest expectations.
2. Setup & Execution
- Prepare banquet rooms according to event specifications, including table arrangements, decorations, and AV equipment.
- Ensure food and beverage services are delivered promptly and efficiently.
- Oversee event timelines to ensure smooth transitions between different phases of the event.
3. Service & Guest Experience
- Provide high-quality service, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the event.
- Address any last-minute client requests or concerns professionally.
- Ensure all banquet staff deliver exceptional hospitality and adhere to service standards.
4. Staff Management & Training
- Train and manage banquet servers, bartenders, and setup teams.
- Assign roles and responsibilities to ensure efficient operations during events.
- Conduct pre-event briefings to ensure all team members understand event details and service expectations.
5. Post-Event Breakdown & Reporting
- Oversee cleanup and ensure all equipment, linens, and décor are properly stored.
- Conduct event debriefs to evaluate service performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain inventory of banquet supplies and coordinate with the purchasing department for replenishments.
