The General Store, a beloved local establishment since 1946, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sporting Goods Assistant Manager to join our team. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide positive representation of the department
- Proactively assist customers and solve problems
- Maintain a friendly and outgoing demeanor with both customers and employees.
- Ensure a professional and safe work environment
- Assist with inventory management and merchandising
- Assist the manager with all department operations and merchandising of Sporting Goods.
- Manage the sporting goods department in the absence of the manager.
- Work well with all departments throughout the store to accomplish all goals set forth.
Qualifications:
- High School or GED equivalent required
- Previous retail management experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
