Cafe Noma is looking for a passionate, focused and efficient banquet cook to join our talented culinary team. Banquet Cooks are responsible for preparing and finishing all hot and cold foods for private dining events. You will execute plated and buffet style events. You will also be accountable for cleanliness, as well as food and equipment safety knowledge that meets Cafe Noma standards.
This is an on call position, with 1-2 possible events occurring every week. Cafe Noma operates events at New Orleans Museum of Art, as well as event spaces around the city. We are looking for dependable cooks, who have a full time job and are looking to add to their income.
Qualifications:
- 1 year of related experience or a culinary degree
- High volume restaurant experience a plus
- Be able to work well under pressure
- Maintain positive attitude
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Have the ability to read and follow menus and recipes
