Overview:
A Shift Leader at Jamba is responsible for the overall shift operations, sales performance, and execution of brand excellence in the absence of the Assistant General Manager and/or General Manager. In this role, you will supervise a team of 1 to 8 talented team members and ensure smoothie, juice, bowl, and quick food item production. Providing exceptional guest service is a high priority for us as we have the pleasure of serving our great community. Join us in our fast-paced and fun work environment!
Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent Certification
- Current or recent food/retail service experience
- Able to work minimum 20-25 hours per week, including nights and weekends
- Computer skills including some Microsoft software and register skills
- Able to lift 30-40 pounds regularly throughout a four to eight-hour shift
- Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° F
- Ability to embody Jamba culture & values – will make a good representative to the Jamba Brand (i.e. energy, fun, self-starter)
- Non-slip shoes and CA food handlers card required
Essential Responsibilities and Skills:
- Lead and manage shifts while acting as manager in charge of the store. Deploy team members as required to meet business demands and make necessary staffing decisions.
- Communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately to ensure effective shift operations.
- Work the line and perform all tasks related to Jamba operational standards. Act as a role model at each station in the store.
- Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered on every shift.
- Follow all food safety, cash handling, and operations procedures and policies.
- Ensure proper financial accountability during each shift.
- Delegate both routine and important tasks and decisions effectively and comfortably.
- Create an environment in which Team Members are motivated to do their best.
