As a McAlister’s Assistant Manager you will: Create a welcoming environment for Guests and Team Members Oversee inventory control to ensure we consistently provide fresh, hot food with a smile to every Guest while also managing costs Support the General Manager with scheduling Communicate well with Team Members and other Managers Strive for operational excellence in every aspect of the restaurant Maintain accurate & detailed accounting on all daily paperwork Develop the talent of our Team Members through ongoing training and feedback Increase sales and profits through great Team Members by providing Phenomenal experiences to our Guests and managing food and labor costs Always positively represent the McAlister's brand RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Manager reports directly to General Manager, receives direction from the General Manager and Director of Operations, and assists in the direct supervision of 25 - 40 employees. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Increase sales by providing outstanding product and service. Work lunch, dinner and weekends, monitoring quality of food and service. Assist in providing Team Members and Team Leaders with the appropriate training. Purchase food, beverages and supplies as needed and oversee their preparation to ensure that every product served meets our high standards of product quality. Supervise and motivate Team Members and Team Leaders to perform to their highest of their ability. Communicate openly and honestly with subordinates, superiors and all others about plans, progress and problems. Provide leadership by keeping things fun and encouraging enthusiasm and a positive mental attitude and commitment toward Company objectives. Create an Encore work environment. Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description. Execute all Systems daily to ensure a clean & organized restaurant prepared to deliver quality food and an Encore service. Utilize all management tools to keep neat, accurate and current records providing the Historical data plan for increased sales and profit. Operate in accordance with the established performance, profits and operating standards as set out in the operation manuals. Have a good working knowledge of all equipment which includes proper actions for all maintenance issues and maintaining duties on the monthly list of a unit. Maintain high standards of service throughout the operational day by demonstrating leadership by example. To ensure that all team members are fully knowledgeable of the policies and procedures by constantly asking questions, testing and monitoring their performance. Responsible for ensuring that all new team members develop a strong work ethic. • *ALWAYS HAVE A “CAN DO” ATTITUDE
