Catering Leader

Chick-fil-A 6th & Congress is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and dedicated Catering Leader to join our team! This role requires someone with a passion for customer service, excellent time management, and a strong ability to work across functions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As a Catering Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and executing catering orders, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring that each catering delivery is a success. You will also support the front-of-house team during peak hours or as needed to ensure a remarkable customer experience. In addition, you’ll manage catering order spreadsheets, tendering and reconciling catering orders, maintain inventory, and ensure that all catering deliveries are prepared and ready to go with the proper food bags and supplies.


Key Responsibilities


Catering Management

  • Oversee and execute catering orders, ensuring that all orders are prepared, packaged, and delivered according to Chick-fil-A standards.
  • Coordinate with customers to confirm order details, delivery times, and special requests.
  • Manage catering scheduling and delivery logistics to ensure timely and accurate service

Delivery & Setup

  • Transport catering orders to event locations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
  • Assist with event setup, ensuring the presentation and quality of food meet Chick-fil-A's standards.
  • Tender catering orders, ensuring accuracy in payment and transaction processing.
  • Maintain accurate financial records for catering orders and handle money in accordance with company policies.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain inventory of catering supplies and food products, ensuring that all necessary items are stocked and available for orders.
  • Ensure that all hot hold food bags are prepped and ready for use, including packing supplies and condiments for catering orders.
  • Double-check that all food items are packed correctly and that each catering order includes the appropriate materials for easy delivery and setup.

Team Support

  • Assist front-of-house staff during busy periods, such as rush hours or as needed, to maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Work alongside event coordinator as needed to prepare and execute events
  • Help with various tasks, including customer service, food preparation, and cleaning, as needed.

Organization & Time Management

  • Prioritize and manage multiple catering orders and tasks, ensuring deadlines and customer expectations are met.
  • Maintain detailed records of orders, deliveries, and customer feedback.
  • Provide generalized reporting and information to leadership during weekly meetings.

Customer Interaction

  • Communicate professionally with customers, ensuring that their needs are met and that they have a positive experience with Chick-fil-A catering.

Independent Work

  • Demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision when required, effectively managing tasks and staying organized.
  • Take initiative in solving problems and ensuring that catering orders are completed efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications

  • Open Availability: Must have flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and lead or assist with loading and unloading catering orders.
  • Experience: Catering experience is preferred but not required. Experience in a fast-paced restaurant or customer service environment is a plus.
  • Driver’s License & Record: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a must. A Driver Record check will be completed prior to being hired; no more than 1 minor moving violation in the last 3 year is acceptable.
  • Time Management & Organization: Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers, team members, and management.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in managing orders, tracking inventory, and ensuring catering deliveries are complete and on-time.
