WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?:


RESPONSIBILITIES


As our Catering & Event Sales Manager, you'll be at the helm of all things sales. These are the results you'll be hired to accomplish:


1) Jungle-Hunter Revenue Generation

You don't wait for sales to come to you (ala the zoo) - you go out and get 'em, tiger! - (ala the jungle).


2) High-Touch Client Relationships

You'll build genuine, human-first relationships with our clients by sticking to the golden rule - always.


3) Win-Win Strategic Partnerships

You'll build and maintain a super strong referral network full of ambassadors that love us, and love to refer us.


4) Look Back & Think Forward Sales Strategy Development

What's working? What's not? You'll analyze our past performance and develop new sales strategies to grow business.


As a disclaimer: This is a new-ish position, in a rapidly growing company, in an always-changing industry. That means that this position and its responsibilities will continue to evolve. So, if you're change-adverse, this job ain't it.

PAY


The total compensation for this position will likely fall between $65,000 - $85,000+. The base salary is $50,000 - $55,000 and depends on relevant experience. There are quarterly bonuses based on sales and performance targets. Commission structure is straightforward, and if you sell more, you'll earn more!


We expect this position to hit a sales target of $1M. You'll earn 30% of your commission up front - alongside the client's initial, 30% deposit - and you'll earn the remaining 70% of your commission when the event is completed, and fully paid.



WORK SCHEDULE


This position is full-time and salaried, with a semi-set schedule that allows for flexibility. Days off are flexible, and typically back to back. Our Catering & Sales Event Manager will work 5 days, and typically 45+ hours per week.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Here are some of our must-haves + would-like-to-haves:

  • At least 3 years of experience in an equivalent Sales role, in any industry
  • Experience in an equivalent Sales role, specifically in the Catering & Event industry, strongly preferred
  • A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or similar, strongly preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have open availability
  • Must have the ability to regularly work 45+ hours per week
  • Must have a valid driver's license + sole access to a personal vehicle
